Matthew Olson, pastor of the Seventh Day Baptist (SDB) Church of Berlin and his wife Ellen are making plans to go on a short-term follow-up missions trip to Zambia February 16 – 24, 2019. They will be visiting SDBs there to lead seminars and assist in special worship services.

Ellen will teach a series of lessons to the pastor’s wives, providing training and feedback in order to equip them to serve alongside their husbands more effectively. Pastor Matt will review the progress made in training young people to use the woodworking tools provided by the Berlin Seventh Day Baptist Church in order to provide them with a source of income. He will also review a project sponsored by the Next Step Seventh Day Baptist Church in Colorado to build chicken coops in order to breed and raise chickens to sell. They also anticipate being involved in local outreach in Kitwe, including helping out at one or more services planned by the SDB leadership in Kitwe.

Pastor Matt and Ellen covet your prayers and would deeply appreciated your financial support. They are hoping to raise $4,500 to cover travel expenses. Please send donations to Seventh Day Baptist Church of Berlin, PO Box 284 Berlin, NY 12022

“For this is what the LORD has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” – Acts 13:47 (NIV)
