South American continent is the destination of the next mission trip for the SDB Missionary Society. Chief Executive Director Andy Samuels, President Danny Lee, and Douglas Marianno from Brazil, will travel to Colombia and Ecuador in November 2021. This trip is another testimony that even with all the many challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel and other restrictive protocols, the Great Commission must still be carried out.
In the Barranquilla area of Colombia, two relatively new SDB Churches will be visited, marking the maiden visit of the Missionary Society to that country. There will be teaching on Sabbath Theology, SDB History & Polity, and SDB Church Life. Opportunities to preach the Gospel in evangelistic settings will also be utilized, and it is the hope that the people will be encouraged, and have a stronger sense of connection to our denomination.
Our brethren in Ecuador have had an affiliation with us for several years, and it will be good to continue to strengthen that relationship through this visit. Teaching, preaching, and meetings with leaders will be included in the activities for this voyage.
