Chief Executive Director Andy Samuels and Pastor Wayne North safely returned from their mission to Bangladesh and India, and reported success. In Bangladesh, they had many opportunities to share the Gospel among people of primarily Hindu background. The people were open and receptive, and clearly hungry for the truth of God’s Word. Evidences of lifted burdens, answered prayers, and hearts touched by the power and presence of the Lord were unmistakable. For more than two years, the Baroi family had prayed for an SDB witness in Bangladesh. God answered those prayers. Now, they are ready to begin the first SDB Church in Bangladesh.
In India two States were visited; Manipur and Andhra Pradesh. At the lone SDB Church in Manipur, made up of Burmese people from the nearby Myanmar border, the team shared messages of encouragement to the group of about 30 people, shepherded by Pastor Pau Haang Tombing. Andhra Pradesh has 8 SDB Churches, and this World Federation member Conference is led by Pastor Paul Chukka. Six of those Churches were visited. In each, there was a warm and hospitable welcome, and an eagerness to hear the Gospel message of hope.
Many thanks to those who prayed, supported financially, or partnered with us in other ways. Your contribution was indispensable to the success of the mission.
