Though faced with the threatened closer of 34 of their 35 church buildings, our brothers and sisters in Rwanda push forward with their efforts to share the gospel and make disciples. In a recent report, their leadership shared that they were shocked by the government closures of their worship facilities, but they have continued to make Jesus known. As a result, they had 33 baptisms this summer among their con-gregations, and anticipate some more soon.
Please, praise God with us for the public declarations of the faith of these new believers and their new life in Christ. Also pray that all our brothers and sisters in Rwanda be strengthened against all forms of attack as they follow our Lord and Savior Jesus and bring the Light of the Good News into dark places.
“In spite of this, the evangelistic activities are continued and their result is the baptism of 33 new Christians,” Jean de Dieu KARIMUTUMYE, SDB Rwanda Legal Rep.
“…having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.” – Colossians 2:12
