The SDB Missionary Society is excited to join Conference this year under the theme, People Get Ready! Conference President Jane Mackintosh believes that children are a vital part of the present (not just future) ministry of our churches. Included in the meaning of the theme is the idea that children are to get ready, and that adults are to get ready FOR children. After all, children are fellow-workers in the Kingdom. Vespers will be targeted to children in worship and adults will be invited to join the children in worship; singing, dancing, cheerleading, drawing, painting, playing of musical instruments, praying and listening to short teachings. There will be a freedom to meet Jesus, however each one connects best with Him. Pastors, teachers, children’s ministers, etc. will lay hands on children, praying for them, affirming their place in ministry, and encouraging their spiritual growth.
Wow! The SDB Missionary Society endorses this idea. We believe that God is calling believers of all ages into ministry.
