COLLEGE STUDENTS REACHING THE LOST

Over the last 20 years the number of USA college students from unreached or under reached countries has nearly doubled to over a million. Oftentimes, SDBs seem to encourage their young adults to go to Christian colleges to “protect” their beliefs, instead of encourage their educational choices as evangelism opportunities.

One recent exception is Conor Hannah, a senior at Fairmont State University in West Virginia. Conor is soon to graduate with his degree in Graphic Design, but his work with a discipleship ministry on the campus over the last few years lead him to follow a calling as a campus missionary at Fairmont.

As Conor wrote in his upcoming article in the Sabbath Recorder, “College is a place where people often make big decisions about who they are and what they are going to do with their lives. Consequently, it is also often a crucial battleground for the soul. Many will either solidify their faith or walk away from it. However, if they solidify their faith in Christ, they carry that wherever they go, their homes, their work, and beyond.”

Fairmont, like thousands of other campuses across the country, are places where lives that are dedicated to showing others the love of Christ can impact the world for the glory of God. This is a reminder not to let our plans overshadow our part in His mission.

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
