The first Seminar of the SDB Africa Bible College (ABC) is now in the history books. Bringing together 16 students from 6 African countries, the four-day event was conducted at the Regions Beyond Ministries (RBM) Retreat Center just outside of Nairobi, Kenya. The students immersed themselves in the reinforcement of the principles of Bible Interpretation, Spiritual Maturity and Leadership Development, as called for by the first two Modules of the 2-year study and training program.
As the students assimilated every word of their Instructors, Pastors Johnmark Camenga and Andy Samuels, they also took turns leading the group in devotion, worship, and prayer. Not even the somewhat annoying and inconvenient international travel demands of COVID-19 tests could dampen the zeal of the 15 male and 1 female students. Three of the students are General Secretaries of their Conference, and twelve of them are Pastors.
After leaving Kenya, Pastors Camenga and Samuels journeyed to neighboring Uganda where they met with SDB Conference leaders, who elected a 7-person interim leadership team to lead them for the next two years.
