Are you passionate about missions? Are you a young adult, ages 18–30, looking for a chance to serve and grow in your faith? Do you enjoy working with children, connecting with families, or helping lead camp activities? If so, this opportunity might be for you!
From July 29–August 12, 2026 (tentative dates), a team of 5–7 young adults ages 18–30 will serve in Guyana, partnering with local churches, families, and children at Camp Glory. This trip is designed as a vision trip — an opportunity to experience God’s work in Guyana firsthand, build lasting connections, and explore how He may be calling you to ongoing involvement in missions.
Applicants must:
Be members of an SDB church
Have a pastor’s recommendation
Be willing to complete training and debriefing courses
Commit to raising $2,500 USD to cover expenses
Previous cross-cultural experience is a plus, but it is not required. What matters most is a teachable heart, a willingness to serve, and a desire to follow God’s leading. Because space is limited, we are seeking passionate young adults who are ready to step out in faith and join what God is doing in Guyana.
Applications are due by: January 31, 2026.
If you have any questions about this event or the application process, please reach out to Garfield Miller at garfield@sdbmissions.org. We would love to walk with you as you discern whether this trip is the next step in your journey with God.
Reflection
Missions experiences often shape our faith in deep and lasting ways — stretching our trust in God, expanding our view of His global church, and helping us discover how our gifts can serve others. If you sense even a small nudge toward this opportunity, it may be worth asking, “Lord, is this You inviting me to step out?”
Prayer Point
Pray that God would:
Clearly call the young adults He is preparing to join this team to Guyana.
Provide the needed funds, support, and encouragement for each applicant as they take steps of faith.
Reflection Question
If you are a young adult (or you know one), what might it look like to respond in faith to this opportunity — either by applying, sharing it with someone who should consider it, or committing to pray for the team that will go?
