The Impact of Year-End Giving

As the year draws to a close, many of us pause to reflect on God’s faithfulness, on what we’ve experienced, and on how we want to invest in kingdom work moving forward. For the SDB Missionary Society, year-end giving is a vital part of how we prepare for ministry in the coming year. These gifts allow us not only to respond to needs around the world but also to ensure that our ministry foundation remains strong and sustainable.

This year, we have been overwhelmed by incredible generosity. Designated giving has helped us meet urgent needs and launch meaningful projects. We are especially grateful for the outpouring we are beginning to see for hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica. We also praise God for funds raised through Missions Week for ministry in South Asia, and through the Fun Run in July for Global Women’s Initiatives. These designated gifts make it possible for us to step into specific opportunities with focused, timely support.

At the same time, undesignated year-end giving is equally essential. While designated gifts fuel particular projects, undesignated support strengthens our operations — the people, systems, and resources that make all ministry possible. It keeps our programs running, supports ongoing partnerships, and ensures we can faithfully implement the vision God has entrusted to us. Simply put: undesignated giving keeps the mission moving.

Pray that God would continue to provide for the operational needs of the SDB Missionary Society through generous year-end giving. Ask Him to guide us in stewarding both designated and undesignated gifts wisely, for His glory and the good of those we serve.
