With the event just over a week away, you still have an opportunity to sign up for the Gospel Feet 5K Walk/Run at the SDB General Conference Sessions at Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster, PA. Friday, August 2 is the actual date of the event, one which is being used to raise funds for ongoing ministry to orphans in African communities. The General Secretary of the Uganda SDB Conference, one of the Conferences which has an active orphan ministry, will be a participant in the 5K.
Your church could consider having a Talent Show, community Bake Sale, special Sabbath Offering or a Penny War, as possible ways to raise funds to support this vital ministry of “Bringing Orphans Home.” Remember that this event has some new and exciting features: (1) Join the training group at www.strava.com/clubs/GospelFeet5k. (2) Kids Quarter Mile Dash (Ages 2+) after the 5K and (3) Team Challenge: When registering for the event, you will have the opportunity to create a church team. Acknowledgments will be given to the ‘fastest church’ and the church with the most registrants.
