BURUNDI SDB NEEDS OUR HELP

In addition to all the challenges related to the current global pandemic, our SDB churches in Burundi are also wrestling with significant government demands pertaining to their facilities. Church buildings are now required to meet a certain qualitative standard, and that has forced the closure of six SDB churches, so far. These churches are at various stages of building projects, and nine churches which rent their meeting space, are looking to purchase land on which to build permanent structures.

The Society is embarking on a project to help our brethren in Burundi re-open the closed churches, find a home for the displaced churches, complete the building projects, and secure land for those which need that. We are seeking matching partnerships, totaling $5,750, to cover the $11,500 needed for the first phase of this project.

This phase will see the six closed churches re-opened and two displaced churches purchasing land. Your prayers and your financial support will go a long way towards SDB church buildings in Burundi returning to fully functional ministries.

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” – Hebrews 13:16
