It has been a few weeks since the annual 5K event of the SDB Missionary Society took place. A big “thank you” is in order to all who supported the occasion as participant, donor, prayer warrior, recruiter, motivator, t-shirt purchaser, organizer, etc. And we give all the thanks also to our great God who empowered us to engage in the event. This year the event was once again conducted virtually, potential participants were encouraged to engage in some type of physical movement for the event, such as jogging, walking, swimming, biking. Participants were also encouraged to pray during the event; hence the theme, “In Motion & Prayer To Empower Believers.”
In all, there were 66 participants, 30 males, and 36 females, ranging in age from 7 to 79. From the collective efforts, $3,240 were raised which are going towards funding sustainable projects in our conferences in developing countries. Such projects include training in specific areas of craftsmanship, agricultural farming, animal rearing, and the use of specialized tools to earn an income.
