Missions Mobilization Network Launched!

The Missions Mobilization Network (MMN) is a collaborative global missions initiative that connects Seventh Day Baptist (SDB) Conferences around the world in shared responsibility for fulfilling the Great Commission. The vision of the MMN formally recognizes that missions are not carried by the SDB Missionary Society of USA & Canada alone; rather, each Conference is encouraged to engage a specific part of the global mission field, offering its unique gifts, leadership, and cultural context as part of a united worldwide effort.

The Missions Mobilization Network (MMN) is a developing collaborative missions initiative currently in its early stages of implementation. It envisions the establishment of missions-focused groups within multiple SDB Conferences around the world, working together as a unified network to pray, plan, share resources, and engage strategically in global mission efforts to reach the world for Christ. Through the MMN, SDB Conferences collaborate by sharing insight, training, resources, and encouragement, enabling the Gospel to advance more effectively and sustainably across cultures and regions. This network is grounded in partnership, mutual empowerment, and a shared dependence on the guidance and work of the Holy Spirit.

The first Conference to agree to partner with the USA & Canada missions team through the Missions Mobilization Network is the Brazilian Seventh Day Baptist Conference. The Missionary Society of the USA & Canada has been engaging with the Brazilian Conference for most of 2025, and now this partnership has moved from proposal to active implementation. The Brazilian Conference, already active in mission work in other countries, has now established the core members of its own Missions Board, providing leadership in missions education, resource development and sharing, strategic vision, and global engagement within the Conference.

With its Missions Committee in place, the Brazilian Conference is prepared to participate fully in the Missions Mobilization Network, joining with other SDB Conferences to labor together for the glory of Christ and the advancement of the Gospel worldwide. The MMN currently includes two participating bodies, the USA & Canada, and Brazil, and we look forward to additional SDB Conferences joining this growing network for a stronger and more effective global impact.

A solid foundation has been established for quarterly partnership meetings, shared vision development, and cooperative mission planning. We are grateful for the leadership of Pastor Sidnei Grossklaus, President of the Brazilian SDB Conference, whose interest and guidance have been instrumental in moving this process forward.

The first Missions Mobilization Network gathering, involving the SDB Missionary Society of the USA & Canada and the SDB Missions Board of Brazil, was held on January 26, 2026, marking the formal launch of active collaboration within the network. We give thanks for what God has already begun through the Missions Mobilization Network and look forward with anticipation to how He will continue to unite His church in shared mission for the glory of Christ and the advancement of the Gospel around the world.

Reflection

The Missions Mobilization Network reminds us that God never intended His mission to be carried by one group alone. When Conferences come together in humility, trust, and shared purpose, the church reflects the unity of Christ’s body and the beauty of partnership across cultures. As God weaves these relationships together, He invites each of us to consider how our own context and gifts contribute to His global work.

Prayer Point

Pray for wisdom, unity, and discernment for leaders involved in the Missions Mobilization Network. Ask God to guide the partnerships forming between Conferences, to deepen trust and collaboration, and to keep the work rooted in dependence on the Holy Spirit. Pray that this network would strengthen the global church and advance the Gospel with faithfulness and humility.

Reflection Question

How might God be inviting you or your church to participate more fully in His mission through partnership, collaboration, and shared responsibility?
